Overview
Ocular AI replaces a standard eyepiece and streams the field of view to a tablet, phone or computer. An on-device neural processor runs Walemtech Vision models on the live image: it locates red cells in a thin blood film, flags those likely to carry malaria parasites and reports an estimated parasitemia, so a microscopist reviews flagged cells instead of searching every field.
AI where the slide is
Inference runs on the camera itself, so analysis works without an internet connection or a dedicated computer. Each detection is drawn on the live view with its confidence, and every flagged cell can be accepted or rejected by the microscopist before a result is saved.
Walemtech Vision models
Malaria parasite screening on Giemsa-stained thin films and red cell counting ship with the camera. Models are updated over the air as new versions are validated. The same app reads hemoglobin electrophoresis strips photographed after staining.
Fits the microscopes already in service
The camera drops into any 23.2 mm eyepiece tube, and the included sleeves fit 30 and 30.5 mm tubes. Most binocular and trinocular laboratory microscopes are supported without tools.
